The hydraulic press is an application of Pascal's principle. A tank with two pistons with different areas connected to it permits the amplification of the force applied on the small piston and also changes its direction. N.B. The point of application of the forces should be situated on the area of the pistons. In this visual the red force is not applied correctly due to the characteristics of the design (to show its variation more clearly in the square of the animation without having to make it excessively large). |
